Animal transport in Europe
Transports for horses, dogs, cats, and small animals — Europe-wide, with verified transporters.
Move-your-animal is a marketplace for animal transport in Europe. Whether it's a warmblood from Munich to Milan, a dog from Berlin to Lisbon, a cat from Vienna to Zurich, or a small animal moving within Germany: you describe your transport, and verified transporters send you quotes. The transport itself is always carried out by the transporter.
Every transporter is reviewed before activation: EU transporter authorization under Regulation (EC) 1/2005, certificate of competence, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Before booking, you can view their profile, reviews from other customers, and the price in the offer.
TRACES and Documents
Many cross-border animal transports within the EU must be registered in the EU's TRACES system. Many carriers handle this. In your request, you check that you want this and can see in the offer whether the carrier provides it and at what price. You upload documents such as the equine passport or EU pet passport once to the animal profile and authorize their use for the journey. Check with your veterinarian or the responsible veterinary authority which certificates you need for your destination country.
Air transports
You can also submit a request for air transport. The offers you receive will show whether a transporter on the platform can handle the route.
Insurance
The transporter is covered by their own insurance. However, this liability is limited for live animals, especially on trips abroad, and it often does not provide sufficient coverage for a valuable sport or breeding horse. You cannot purchase transport insurance through the platform. However, you can select that you would like a quote when submitting your request, and we will contact you by email.
From booking to arrival
When booking, you pay 10% of the price online as a reservation fee. The transporter receives the rest in cash at handover. If they offer a deposit, you can also pay half online and the other half in cash. During the trip, you can see the location in live tracking and reach the transporter via chat. If anything goes wrong, you report it in your account directly for the trip.

You submit a request or choose a trip on the marketplace. Transporters send you quotes, and you accept one. The transport is booked once the transporter has confirmed it; you then pay the reservation fee. All details are available in your dashboard.
The transporter handles the TRACES notification for cross-border transport if they offer this service. In your request, select that you want it, and the offer will show whether it is available and at what price. Our main focus is the German-speaking region. Whether a route is possible depends on whether a transport company operates it — simply submit a request to see who responds. We are expanding country by country with the companies that join us.
When booking, you pay the reservation fee online, making the booking binding. You pay the rest in cash at handover. If the transporter offers "50% deposit", you can instead pay half of the price online (the fee is included) and the other half in cash.
Until the transporter confirms, you can withdraw your request free of charge. After that, the space is reserved for you, and cancellation through the platform is not available. In exceptional cases, such as your animal becoming ill, contact support. If the transporter cancels, you will receive a refund of the reservation fee.
